A former Guidance Counselor, and oil painter, Terry has taken a variety of certificate programs in Encaustic Art, at The Haliburton School of Art, and the Toronto School of Arts.
While living in Toronto her work was well received and displayed in several galleries and Art Shows. Since moving to Belleville, her work may be found at Gallery 121, where she is a member, and the Quinte Art Council Gallery.
Terry is an encaustic artist, who employs bold colours and multi-layers of texture in her art. The process used in creating, is in itself, part of her inspiration. She loves the smell of the melted beeswax, and the unique effects that can be achieved using a wide range of tools. The process is both playful and joyful. Now living in Belleville she finds that her surroundings continue to cause her to ask…how can I capture that mood, image, and sense of beauty through the flow of wax?
