For the past eight years, I have explored the beauty of glass. While most of my explorations result in functional work, I do put considerable time in pieces that are meant to translate my dreams and visions into glass. Kilnformed glass has the potential to transform into so many shapes, textures, moods that I will have the fuel for many dreams to come. I find myself lost in the making process, the hands-on, physical work necessary to shape the glass in and out of the kiln. Many projects take on a life of their own and take a different direction than first intended. I endeavor to make practical objects like plates and bowls into a conduit for memories and associations that the appreciation of colour and form can bring.
